EQUATORIAL CLIMATE

 

• Location : This region lies from 0 to 5° N-S both hemisphere. 

• Countries : Congo, Zambia, Nambia, etc.

Physical & Climatic features : 

• This region has a large swamps, plain fertile land structure .
• This region, has equinox ,that are unexplored ,because of dark forests as well as  remoteness. 
• This region experiences extremely hot and wet climate and direct rays of sunlight, thunderous lighting and rainfall occurs in noon time.
• The temperature of this region is around 50°C throughout the year having the rainfall of 4000 mm every day ,noon time.

  Natural Vegetation & Wildlife :

  • This region has evergreen tropical vegetation having the leaves dark green in color and stems are completely dark brown. So, they are called dark forest .
  • We can find Ebony, Mahagony, Blackwood etc.here & they are generally 1000 ft. tall and inclined towards each other. 
  • We can find large variety of insects and some swamp animals .
  • We can find bullet ant, crocodile, and buthus scorpion here. 

  Socio-economic activities:
  

  • This region is under developed due to extreme climate end swap areas but fertile land for agriculture production but dones/happens on subsistence level.
  • This region has very much fertile land but agriculture production in food crops but higher rate of cash crops such as rubber,cocoa, etc. are found.
  • This region is rich in mineral resources like gold, silicon, tungsten, silves, etc.
  • The people of this region are called Masai, Mara and Hausa. They are considered as Martial race and Pygmies are found here, lives on cannibalism.
